places to buy reloading items?

Good day people...I am looking for other places to get my supplies..
Such as dies,brass,bullets,powder,primers,etc

I have always delt with Midway from Missouri,but thought there might
be a place close to home (New York)..So as the cut the cost of shipping
and maybe get things faster..

If you know of anyplce that is honest and realiable,I would be
interested in know about them...Thanks John

About a 2 hour drive from you. They have a very good reputation.

I suggest placing an order with them and then driving in to pick it up, heck, you can even stop by and go shopping at eastview mall too.

Unless you buy in quantity online the Hazmat fees will eat you alive. Sometimes like last week I will buy a single pound of powder if I am looking for a new load and one of the local stores has what I am looking for in stock, but they tend to charge 25 - 30 percent more than online or gunshow prices. Once I have found a good load I tend to stick with it and wait till a gunshow is in the area then buy if at all possible.

There is a huge difference in price if you buy in small vs. large quantities of primers/powder/bullets. Since it sounds like you are just getting started, buying locally is probably your best option for those 3 items. If you can get a group buy or intend to load a lot, make sure you order from a supplier that is able to ship primers and powder in the same container. Powder Valley is one that will do this.

MidwayUSA has a very good inventory and for the remainder of the items you need, they may be your best source. I have found that they ship quickly and shipping is reasonable. Graf & Sons ships free and only adds a $4.95 handling fee to your order.

One thing you might consider is obtaining your C&R (class 3) FFL. This will entitle you to dealer pricing at some suppliers. For the cost of $10 per year for your license, the savings can be significant.

I get most of my reloading stuff from Midway. Shipping isn't too bad if you order a lot of your items at once. Other stuff I have ordered from Cabela's. Sometimes they will run specials where shipping is free, but you need to order like $100 or more.

I really enjoy doing business with Midway. They seem to be the quickest in getting the items shipped.

Thanks for your replies..Maybe I will just stick with Midway...I need to get back into the game after a year off..In 2009 I burned up 8 lb of Imr 4350....The year befor about 12 lbs of H4831...Most of it in a 30-338 which I had rebarreled 3 times now and looking toward the 4th time...I use mostly serria or hornady match bullets....Use a lot of H338 as well in the 22-250's
So maybe I will stay with them...Most dealers do not have 8 lb cans of powder..not here anyway..and you get some strange looks when you ask for it as well..lol......john

Not for sure, but I don't think there will be any difference in your shipping whether if goes from Missouri to NY, or NY to NY.
Your local dealers are going to pay shipping and Hazmat fees also.
I am 20 miles from a Cabelas, but I can get it shipped cheaper than I can drive there and back.
