First Paint Job

Okay.... did some searching and reading from all you folks.... thanks for the info. I decided to paint the stock on the ol' Steyr SSG PIIK. There was a horrible mold seam on the top and bottom (you'd THINK on a nice rifle that wouldn't be there!). Anyway... I sanded it down good... used a 3m pad for getting into the checkering.

Then used Testors model paint in my airbrush. Made some templates out of mylar so I could use them later. Painted it base of OD green. Then came back with flat black for patterns. Highlighted (very lightly) with khaki/tan to difuse and keep the lines from being too harsh.

Turned out ok for the first time I think. Thanks to everyone for the info!
