a friend of mine has a Coonan Cadet, I think that would be a great choice. As far as what I picked in the choice I picked the Rugers and the S&W.

The Kahr PM9 has been my constant companion for the past couple of years. IWB, or in the pocket, it works every time I pull the trigger and is comfortable to carry all day long.

What I would choose
My vote is for the P-11, as it holds 10 rounds AND it was my first handgun- almost 20 years later and it hasn't failed me once! I also like the LC9 and the Kahr CM9- they both work very well for concealed carry.

380s are pocket pistols
9MMs are IMO are not I have 400+ rounds of 4 or 5 different ammos brands through (HP and FMJ) my S&W Bodygaurd380 so far,I cleaned it once when it was new and thats it and do not plan on babying it at all......Its a true baby glock IMO and I pretty much shoot it every time at the range atleast 50 rounds and I CCW it daily I also have an LCP,its a jamomatic by comparson, mine is many are not though |

I agree. Kel-Tec P11 is not a pocket pistol...and i have big pockets. Wife's got a baby Beretta .22 that fits. Not my hand, my pocket.

Which pocket pistol?
I'd vote for the P32 but not while it's grouped with the P11!
Should'nt the PF9 and P11 be grouped together? |

The LCP and P3AT are not exactly the same gun. I prefer the LCP.

I have carried the P-11 in relaxed fit jeans, riding in a Blackhawk pocket holster.
It works just as well for pocket carry as my Glock, which uses that same holster. I generally only carry the Glock in iwb, as this leaves room in my pockets for other things(cell phone, pocketknife, spare mag). The P-11 isn't much smaller than the Glock, either- I really like that!

I bought the Bodyguard for the wife, she had trouble with the DA only trigger so I swapped it in on a SIG P238 and she really likes the improved trigger and accuracy. I like it because it's a SIG remake of the Colt Mustang and it's just a sweet little carry gun which isn't on your list, but should be.

My favorite pocket pistol (that I own) is my Colt 1908 Vest Pocket.
Should I ever find one at a reasonable price, I would really love to have a Sig P238. |

Mine didn't make your list
My favorite is the Taurus TCP. Small and light enough to pocket carry every day. I even pocket carry it with basketball shorts and no one is the wiser. I checked out the Kel Tecs, the LCP and the Bodygaurd; but I like the TCP the best. If I had the money for the Kimber I'm not sure if I would even buy it then. I understand it is a great gun and no argument there, I just can't see spending that much on a pocket gun. Just my $0.02

I've carried a PF-9 for the past 2 1/2 years. It's a good choice for pocket duty.

The only Kel-Tecs I'd ever even own would be the P-32 and the P-11. I think an LCP would do great for pocket carry. As I said bfore, these types of guns would only serve as a backup weapon/when I can't carry something larger.

Microman, that's because it's a revolver, not a semi-auto as this is the semiauto forum!

I have owned a Kel Tec PF9, Ruger LCP, Walther PPK, and Kahr PM9.
The Kel Tec jammed sometimes, and the trigger was awful. The Ruger LCP functioned flawlessly, and was pretty accurate too. I just prefer 9mm and my wife didn't like the little LCP. The Walther PPK was extremely accurate. My wife loved it. It jammed at least once every time we went shooting though, so I sold it, and bought her a Glock 19. She loved mine, so I got her her own. The Kahr PM9 is certainly the highest quality of the bunch. It is accurate and reliable. The recoil of a tiny 9mm is far more than a larger 9mm, but for me doesn't matter. It serves it's purpose well. Reliable, the stainless slide doesn't rust from sweat, accurate, and has a 3" barrel (so it gets better velocities than some of the smaller 9mm's). The trigger pull is long but smooth, and feels comfortable. It is easy to stage, for accuracy. |

the only one I own on your list is the LC9. Had a LCP sold it to get the LC9 both functioned 100%. The LC9 has very good sights for a pocket gun.

Out of the true pocket pistols on your list, and I might argue that some are a bit big for pocket carry, I don't think you could go wrong with the Ruger LCP. It's reliable, accurate and well made. If you want a pocket gun, get one that can go places others can't. For me, that's the Ruger LCP.

I found my Kahr PM9 a little large for pocket carry so I now carry a Kahr P380. Just right.

I know it's not listed in my poll, but...
I've decided to order a Cobra Patriot .380 as my secondary cc piece. It holds 5 rounds and comes with one magazine, I plan to order a spare mag or two as well.
I've never bought a gun online before, so hopefully all will go well. I'm going to place the order after payday next week. I may order more guns from online dealers in the future, seeing as they tend to to have better inventories than most of my local gunshops. This gun will ONLY serve as a backup/secondary (sometimes primary) ccw weapon when I can't carry the Glock. That being said, I don't expect pinpoint accuracy or even perfect performance from this gun. It'll probably be my primary gun for certain situations (such as in church/other social settings) where disreet carry is an absolute MUST.

I pocket a j-frame but before I bought it I was on the LCP/PM9 fence. In my experience, those are the best of the pocket auto bunch.
