.270 varmint load

I'm working up a load with 90 gr Sierra HP but did not get the results I wanted until I got over 60 gr of IMR 4350. Primer starting to flatten a little but other than that no problems. Although I'm tempted to try a little more I thought I would see if anyone else has tried to load this bullet. Maybe a different powder is in order. I'm at 60.4 gr to be exact.

Any thoughts?

My 3rd edition Sierra says you're right about where you ought to be. You're just over a grain over their suggested accuracy load and just under their max. That's about as close as real world results ever get to loading manuals.

Thanks Leftoverdj. Come to think of it there's not much room for any more powder anyway. I'm going to load up some more and play with the c.o.l.
