9mm ammo

I'm fed up with not finding 9mm ammo to shoot. I've got some "good stuff" that I'm keeping, but need some ammo just to shoot.

I see both Independence and American Eagle on gunbroker? How are these? How about Blazer brass? I'm not interested in steel cased ammo.

I think the main thing is to not buy the 9mm ammunition at the inflated prices that we keep seeing. When it is found, it can be at a silly high price. We need these prices to come back down so things can get back to normal. If we keep spending the high dollar, the prices may not come back down.

Regards your ammunition type question, I have used Federal American Eagle with great success. My wife has used Blazer Brass just fine as well.

I've thought of that too. Just not shooting 9mm and shoot up a bunch of the junk 22LR I have.

How much does it typically cost to ship a case (1000 rounds) of 9mm ammo?

I just ordered 500 rounds of .32 ACP on line. The cost was $25 per box and just a few months ago I was able to buy it for $11 a box. The shipping charge also went from $9 to $24.

I got sick of searching for 9mm ammo in a reasonable quantity for a reasonable price, so I finally bit the bullet (pun intended) and sprung for a reloading setup. It's kind of still in the works for the time being, getting all the tools and components takes some $$$, but it will be nice not to have to rely as heavily on somebody else for my ammo. If you're interested check the "READ THIS FIRST" post under the reloading forum. It, as well as the rest of the reloading forum, has tons of good info and recommendations for a new reloader.

I don't see why folks are finding it hard to buy 9mm ammo. Just a week ago, when I was at a gun show, I picked up bags of the stuff. Excellent quality reloads at decent prices - fully jacketed hollow points. I bought 2 250 round bags. All in all, I spent about $200 for $500 rounds good quality (reloads) 9mm plus 150 rounds of nice quality 10mm.

I've got no problem whatsoever getting 9mm ammo in Ohio. I still pay $11.99for Blazer aluminum, $13.99 for brass. I asked the place where I get it if it's running low and he said "Nope, just got another shipment in today".
Just last week MC Sports had 9mm Fiocchi for $12.99 a box and I grabbed a bunch of those.

The Ohio supply and prices look great. Last week the only 9mm to be found in the area was 3 boxes of Tul 115 grain at $9.95 per box at Walmart.

Hunting for cheap ammo is such a waste and exhausting.

My time is worth something and I'm done driving all over looking for a deal and ending up with a box or two here or there.

Gunbroker is almost magic.

Of the 3 you mention, I'd go with the Blazer brass. It's always worked for me. It's on par with Winchester White Box.

Blazer Brass has been pretty good practice ammo for me. I would not hesitate using it again and again.

For those of you reloading, where in the world are you getting your small pistol primers? I'm stocked pretty good for now but wonder if I will ever find it available again.

I've never shot Independence but I have shot American Eagle and Blazer. I really like American Eagle and that actually the ammo I prefer for my Beretta. The Blazer was also pretty good. I was a little hisitant because it felt really light to me, but all 50 rounds went bang!

Everything around me is sold out and I don't see myself buying offline and paying $15-$20 in shipping. It'd be better spent in gas trying to find ammo around here. Alas, there isn't any in stock so I'm screwed.

I got 9mm because it was inexpensive and it was enough so that I wouldn't take much loss compared to reloading. Now I'm considering reloading just so I can have a stock of my own stuff. I'm afraid to shoot the 300 rounds I have now for fear that I won't run into anymore ammo for months.

I just bought 2 boxes of 9mm ammo for my son and paid $17.00/box. The same stuff was $11.00/box just weeks ago. My answer to this lunacy is "RELOAD". I do it all the time and save at least 50%. I'm going to be shooting for a while on just the normal amount of components I keep on hand.

New gander ad has Blazer Brass bulk packs listed, online or in store. The 9mm is a 350 pack. One is $100, but if you get 3 packs, it's $250. Also have other calibers; looks like you can mix n match.

My local shop has now implemented a 10 box max rule on all pistol ammo. People were coming in, buying 4 and 5 cases, and selling it on the internet for a big profit!!
