any info on a savage 112 .308?
i bought a savage 112 (yes 112 not 12) in .308 cal from my local Cabelas gun library. it has a fluted stainless steel heavy barrel and wood stock...if anyone has any info on how old it is or what year(s) it was manufactured that would be greatly appreciated!

Never heard of it 112 is a long action gun the 12 was a short action if I'm thinking right so the 308 had to have been re barreled?

i dont think it has been re-barreled, it looks all original. what puzzles me is that it says directly on the barrel "savage model 112 CAL 308 WIN" but i can't find an information on the rifle.

I think at one point savage went to only making the 110 for financial reasons. Could've possibly been made during that time.
