8mm bullets, what's the value?

My Dad bought a box full of .324's (8mm) 160 grain Lyman cast bullets. There are approx 650 - 700. What would someone be willing to pay for them, unlubed, at a bargain price?

Sorry to say, but I don't see it being a lot, especially considering that they are unlubed. Penn Bullets, a website I happened to have up right now, lists 170 grain lubed .323's, and they sell them at $28 for 500 of them.

You'll find there isn't nearly as big a following for cast lead bullets in bottle-neck rifle calibers. Because they are lead, you typically have to push them at monumentally slower speeds compared to their jacketed counterparts.

Ok, just feeling around. He and I may squeeze them through a .310 sizing die and shoot them through a 7.62x54.

I thought about buying a die for my Lyman lube machine and selling them in 50 cnt. lots with the gas checks. Maybe $15.00 for 100 + shipping?

If nothing else, we could melt them down and use them for something else.

With 185 gr Core-Lokts at $18-22/100, I don't think it would be very easy to sell those at $15/100.
$10/100 ...maybe...

Swage them to .310" or melt them down. -my vote.
