how about a simmons Blazer? I can't find it on their current lineup. Was it a crappy line they did away with? I ask b/c there is a 3-9x50 on ebay that'a reasonable.
it's not an AO, but i'm not worried about that on a 22 |

How about the Sightron S1 3-9x32 rimfire at Midway? That's a $135 scope on sale for $99. I've only looked through someone else's but they have a good reputation and it's small enough to look good on your rifle. This is the Simmons 22 Mag I was referring to but again I can't vouch for it because I've never used one.

and another thing, does it really matter if it's a rimfire scope? i know the parallax is 50 vs 100 yd, but I can sight it into at 50, or sight it in at 100 and just adjust for shorter shots right?

In your case the only differences that matters are the parallax-free distance and possibly minimum in-focus distance and that will vary by manufacturer and model.

ok so if my scope has 100yd parallax then a 50 yd target will still be clear just a tiny bit off from the crosshairs?

Simmons Pro Target. This is what I put on my .22's. I have a 6 to 18 Pro Target that I took off my .22 and put on my 7mm mag held up good for 80 rounds till the 7 mags scope came in. It even tracked good out to 1300yds.

Sort of putting the cart before the horse and then asking if it will get you to market.
Leopold Rimfire 4-7 is all you will need from a 22. Something around $200 (maybe a bit off with rebate) and lifetime warranty. Will also work on an AR so its tough (not a bolt action 223, semi auto ) |

actually i just won an ebay auction for a 3-9x32 bushnell banner, the older japanese B&L type. It was only 30 bucks with shipping and these have a reputation for holding their own for a long time. If I don't like it, then whatever I can get a more expensive one.

Gamo Is For Airguns
Gamo is reliable if you have a pellet gun, if you want a long lasting scope for your .22 in a good price range, try the Nikon Prostaff n 2-7x32. Its a good scope that goes for about $130. I personally have a $40 3-9x50 tasco on my marlin 60, and it holds a decent group but I plan on upgrading it. If you want a tactical scope, check out Leapers. Leapers (also known as UTG) makes excellent scopes for very good prices. Hope I helped, and let us know what you have decided on!

got my banner in today, took a while to get the lockring set for the crosshair clarity. my astigmatism might have something to do with that
Don't know when I'll sight it in, but nobody has 22 LR ammo anyways around here so I'll have to wait. It's a sturdy looking bugger though! |
