Marlin M99 22 LR
Where can I get a magazine tube inner assembly? This is the yellow part that has the spring and follower and endcap that slides into the magazine tube.
Also, there were two different types depending on the dates. What is the cutoff or how do I distinguish between the two?

You can buy inner magazine tube kits from Brownells.

Try this link to see if you can match one up:
http://www.gunpartscorp.com/ad/214230.htm#444140B It's a match up list for various marlin 99s.

I would also take a look at the gun auctions and on eBay. If nothing else, you may have to make one, as Scorch mentioned. The link from Gyvel shows two listings for parts on the 99.

DUH!
OK, I figured out it was made in 1970 so that makes buying the inner magazine tube easier (won't order the wrong one). I was looking for a serial# and then I noticed the Marlin Centennial medallion on the stock. That was a clue.
Part ordered from NumNuts. Thanks everyone!
