Think epoxy will hold on hard rubber?
I just picked up a Savage .32 auto and in process of the initial cleanup, managed to bust one grip. I used epoxy and it seems to be holding and the crack was fortunately just one line that is hardly noticeable.
But, do you think the epoxy will hold? The parts are tight and the stuff is fully cured now. Since Savage didn't use screws for the grips, all that holds em to the gun is fit. |

I would have used JB Weld myself. It may have helped if you would have scored the back side of the grip across the crack so the epoxy had something to "bite" into.
I've never tried epoxying rubber before. Hope it works for you.

Epoxy has worked for me on hard rubber (gutta percha) and I think you will be OK. (Now you know how not to take off the grips on that old Savage.)
