S&W M36 and +P's

Recently obtained a mint S&W M36 that the original owner purchased in 1983. Unfortunately, he lost the box and manual. I am not sure if this early manufacture will handle +p rounds safely. If anybody has a copy of an early 80's manual for this model, I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks.

As I recall, S&W always packed a generic revolver manual in those days.
In other words, it covered ALL S&W revolvers, not a specific model.

I'd suggest emailing S&W for the definitive answer.

I seem to remember that S&W specifically said NOT to use +P in the Model 36 in those days, but only they can give you definite answer.
