Wild TURKEY!!!

Whos eatin a turkey today that they killed? I'm not. Wish I was. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I am not either. But we are going to have some Chukar along with the turkey.

Not today but a week or so ago I did. If we would of tryed to eat the one we killed today, it wouldn't have fed everyone

What was the texture like

I have never eaten "Wild" turkey, but a buddy of mine swears that they are tough, so he only eats the breast. I find it hard to believe. How does it compare to the farm raised ones? Thank you for the anticipated reply.

I like em'! Texture wise- like deer- dont expect an old bird to not be tough and 'gamey' . Got one in the freezer grandad shot. I was out of town for
