Asking for clean 22 rimfire ammo is like asking for non-flammable gasoline.
I typically use the cheap bulk pack for most of my shooting, Federal seems to be the most accurate in most of mine. You would be best off using whatever is the most accurate and just taking your can apart and cleaning it at regular intervals. 22 rimfire is just inherently dirty.

Thus why I asked...most clean.
I bought some Win Wildcats yrs ago to just plink cheap. Seemed half the powder was left in the gun. My Dad joked that Winchester obtained their powder by scraping the floors elsewhere. |

I don't have any suppressors, but jacketed American Eagle is pretty clean in the rest of the gun, so it stands to reason...

CCI MiniMag ammunition is the best of the best of a few dozen types I tried. Second cleanest (and subsonic, so I use it more) is Aguila subsonic 40gr RN.

Also, it's not jacketed. It's copper plated. Last edited by PTK; March 12, 2010 at 12:50 AM. |
