how much variance in case weight for charge change

I'm working in .308; I'm trying to make the loading a little simpler, if possible. My LC '07 averages 175.6g, and I use this case to develop charges. At what point in case weight variance, or in case volume capacity, do you need to recalculate the charge (e.g., if the case volume decreases 5% no need to change, but if 10%, change required)?
Many thanks, from a relative rookie.

A "rule of thumb" for years with rifle cartridges has been for every 10 grains more of case weight, reduce the powder charge weight 1 grain. Or something like that.
