Pics of a Marlin Model 60 action

I was wondering if anyone could post a pic of the barrelled action of their Mdl 60 out of the stock. I was looking at my new 981TS yesterday and had a crazy idea. Since they're both set up for a tube magazine, wouldn't it be possible to swap the barrels out between the two? you'd get a nice light bolt action carbine and a longer barrelled semi-auto with a couple of more shots, since the mag tube would need to go with its original barrel. It looks like they're just pinned in place, and it wouldn't be too hard of a swap, if the pins are in the same place. Thanks in advance for the pics and any feed back.

Heck , if you have both rifles , go ahead and try it . There may be differences that won't be apparent in a picture , such as measurements . If you had a mod. 75 Marlin , you'd have a 60 carbine

I think I'm gonna, here maybe a couple of months I'm gonna pick up a Mdl 60 and give it a look. Thanks

You should be able to snag a good model 60 for less than $100. Even if it doesn't work you'll still have two great rifles (long as you don't break anything messing with them).

Ya, I'm gonna do that day after tomorrow. I used to own one and I've been gettin the itch for another. I'm just gonna take a look, if it looks feasible, there's a good local smith I'm gonna consult with before I do any thing.

The receiver is aluminum. The barrel is a very tight fit and isnt threaded. You might get by swapping it once without it getting loose

The Mod. 60 barrel is pinned through the receiver .

Yes it's pinned but that wont keep it from getting loose

I'd look for an older Model 60 with the long barrel. I wouldn't swap barrels around on these aluminum actions, probably a disaster in the making.
Here's my 60W I bought at Wally's in '93 for $79.99 closeout, I refinished the stock with Black Walnut stain and Tungoil varnish. Long barrel is identified by the barrel extending over the tube magazine...

This little rifle is one of my favorites, clovers at 50 yards.

Sorry took so long answering guys, work intruded. I got them both apart, looked at it and said, nah, I don't think so. Reckon I'll haunt the stores and pawnshop per Radar's advice. Thanks too everyone who contributed though.
