Pre-1959 S&W ejector rod source
I have a K-38 masterpiece in 38 Spc. which has the pre-1959 RIGHT handed threads on the ejector rod, which of course some tyro used a pair of pliers on so I need to replace it. Any thoughts on where I can get this part with the correct handed threads? Genuine S&W is preferred of course but I am fine with new aftermarket as long as the workmanship is of similar quality.

I would first try www.gunpartscorp.com, but write them and tell them what you need. Alternatively, call S&W and see if they can help. If you send them the gun, they may well replace both the extractor rod and the extractor with the left hand type, but that is OK.
