Costco Stand Your Ground Survey

I came across an article in the Costo Connection magazine on Stand Your Ground laws. The sidebar has a link to a survey on whether or not you agree with them. At this point it is 95.7% in favor. Costco tends to lean to the liberal side so I was rather surprised.

yeah thats true, but if i remember corectly Costco is a WA State company and we are blue state, but what most folks don't know is that a lot of dems. are pro 2nd amendment.

Perhaps it is not that surprising in the US, but to me it seems strange that a supermarket company could so politicised that people openly know about it!

I would have no idea what is the political perspective of my local shop!!

Do all major outlets have position that they publicise?

Yep, gun lovers and owners fall on both sides. A recent gallop poll showed that over 37% of firearm owners are democrats. There are quite a few states still like that. I am glad that Costco put the poll up. Most retailers either shy away or are against laws of this type all together.

No, most don't, but Costco as noted above has a slant and the officers and directors give to one side. The public in general is fed up with crime so the "make my day" laws are popular. Some stores wear their bias openly but most want to be politically correct, Costco included. "Gun lovers" mostly fall on one side, they are called "bitter clingers" here, as you all in the Euro Zone, know all too well, the wrong side took over in your world. It's just that we have not fully descended into the dark side yet. We are working on it, but with all the progress in the Red States we have seen some amazing action in the Right direction. Hopefully the Tenth Amendment will continue to exist in reality. I think Costco knows who butters their bread.
