need info on .40 cal 180gr bullets
I am new at .40 cal reloading, I have extra IMR 4895 and IMR 4064 powder. can I use either for reloading .40 cal 180g bullets? If so does anyone have what amount of grains I should use?

Welcome to TFL!
Don't take this wrong, but: What cartridge? Jacketed, cast, swaged? Reloading manuals can be a very useful resource. Several on line sites have extensive data and since you are considering IMR powders, the Hodgdon Reloading Data Center is where I would start. |

Thanks Jepp.
Thanks Jepp. I bought some 180 grain Jacketed Hollow points with some CCI small pistol primers and winchester brass and forgot to buy some Hi Skor 700x powder. I bought a bunch of .308 and .223 reload shells, primers, lead and IMR 4064 and 4895 but somehow forgot the pistol powder so I wanted to do some .40 cal reloading and shooting tomorrow. I have never heard of using rifle powder for pistol. Thought I would ask.

NO. You can not use those 2 powders for pistol. Well you could, it will fit in the case but you will get terrible results.
