I have had both the 40 HK and the 45 1911, I prefer to shoot the 45-1911. A lot more pleasant to shoot. The 40 is way to harsh of a round. At least for me that is.

I am on the opposite, I shot SR40C much better than G30, G30SF and G21SF- and I owned 3 different G30!

But how did you shoot the 30 compared to the 27, or the 21 compared to the 22?

The Ruger may fit you better than the Glocks do, as opposed to the .40 doing better for you.

40 in sub compact like G27 was horrible, but in G23gen 4 it was easy to control, same as CZ75B40 and Walther P99- ergo allows me to shoot accurately w/ one hand. The SR40C is even easier to control in 40- surprisingly! Shot the Ruger and G30SF side by side- and I like SR40C more and more. Don't take my words for it, try it yourself when you get a chance.

The G30 was easier to shoot than G27 which is the worst, btw. Don't have G22- more like G20SF/G29 (10mm) which I prefer over 45 anytime.
