i finally got a evil black rifle :(

i got the Palmetto State Armory M4 but the upper on mine is the DMPS 2.23 16" Bull Parkerized with the Palametto State Armory internals. The lower is 100% Palmetto. i paid around $952 for that setup. do you guys think i did good on that one?

You could have done better.... you could have done worse.

Lowers are cheap and easy to build.. the upper is what is important.

A BCM upper would run you $400 without the hand-guard/rail or BCG so really it depends on how serious you are about it.

If your happy with that you spent then shoot it and enjoy it.

Brownells is always over priced on anything... that and I would never pay that much for a DPMS upper.

The key is to research what goes into it, and what you need it to do. I can build an AR for less than $739.

I can buy a Stag AR for $750 at my local shop and that comes with a full life time warranty.

Sorry, but you probably overpaid by about $200. Just shoot the hell out of it and be happy.

Your next post will read like this, "I got another black rifle..." They're addicting! Congrats.

As to the price, could have done better but could have done a lot worse. I've seen people pay some insane prices lately...

what does the AR have, or is it all stock?

if so, then you got ripped. $952 for a PSA/DPMs AR is too much. You could get a similar Smith&Wesson or Spikes for about the same price, maybe less.

but if you're happy with it, then its all good.

One word....'an' .....

Lol

Anyways, it's too late now. As long as you got what you wanted is all that really matters.
Most people won't admit the fact that they over paid. That's the American way... Strong profits equals strong Country

Forget what you paid for it and ignore everyone who says you paid too much. You already bought it so theres no sence in beating yourself up over what you paid. Take it out and enjoy it.

Why is the rifle evil? You are evil because you did arm yourself and made Sarah sad.

well i mean the price was $952 all i had to pay was $400 cause i had trade in value from a S&W M&P 15-22 an since i use my 12 gauge an .17 HMR for squirrels i really didn't have a use for the M&P so i did the trade with cash.

paid about 250 too much ... i just finished an AR build with the following

PSA lower receiver (including $25 transfer fee) $100 source GB
CMMG LPK $63 source GB
Delton M4 stock kit with buffer, spring and commercial tube $50 source eBay
Aero Precision flattop upper with m4 cuts $82 source GB
m4 chrome lined barrel assembly (included front site and delta ring, etc..) $130 source GB
m16 BCG $130 source GB

magpul MOE handguards $23 source eBay

grand total is under $600 for the build...

PSA, model 1 and several others offer rifle kits as well that have all the parts you need including a built upper and all you need to supply is a lower receiver.. buddy just picked up a del-ton middy HBAR rifle kit from midway for dirt cheap and already had a stripped lower....

I guess the beauty here is that they gave you about $150 - $200 too much for a used 15-22! So, given that info, you made out ok! Enjoy the AR. I can't stop shooting mine...

I learned a long time ago, don't ask another what he paid for an item that you also have. Someone is going to be unnecessarily disappointed. These days, we all have internet access and the ability to ferret out the lowest prices. Of course, there's the unbelievable, I've seen TV ads for an auction site that claim you can get discounts of "up to 99%, and more."

so you are saying you have an m4 in one post then you put this up??? plus your sig says

Palmetto State Armory M4A1
no such gun exists.... need to get your facts straight.

a pic says a thousand words and we might be able to set you straight on what you actually have.... right now we know you have an AR.... maybe,,,,

so they have an A2 upper on the rifle with an m4 profile barrel?? ok.... post a pic or two... sounds like they might have pieced together what they had laying around in the shop....

Did you order it from PSA or buy it from a gun shop-- who built it?
I don't even see a DPMS fixed-carry-handle upper on the PSA website.
