Made in France? Probably never fired and dropped once Sorry for the stale joke. Just couldn't resist.

This is in the 28th bluebook: Kodiak co 1963-1966, model 458 slide action shotgun. While kodiak long guns are rare and extremely well made. collectability to date has been minimal. prior to 1963 kodiak guns where marketed under the trade name jeffereson. Prices hold a slight premium over other simular trade name counterparts to other era guns. I take this to mean check the price of a charles daly pump or a sears pump. Stevens winchester etc.----------------

I'm going to guess it's some variation of a Manufrance, but a picture would help....

I would guess it was manufactured by Kodiak Co. North Haven Ct. 1963-1966. Manufrance? no , American made. They are however, rather scarce

I was going off of the "Action Made in France" quote.
