Ruger P95
I've got an opportunity to purchase one of these in very good condition for $225 from a friend if mine. It's got around 250 rounds out of it.
Can I go wrong at this price? My dad has one, seems like a decent gun... I would just plan on carrying it while on the farm and on hunting trips. Thanks |

Ruger P95
I figured it was a pretty good deal, buddies wife doesn't care for guns and I guess he has three 9's so he wanted to dump it... I'm not huge into pistols, just got a 1911, but with all the crazies running around these days I feel better carrying. |

P95 is a good gun. Just too bulky for CC IMO. Also mine FTE if it was limp wristed. I didn't have FTE problems myself, but wife, daughter, and buddy couldn't shoot a whole mag w/o a FTE. I don't care for poly framed guns myself, but this is a good one and especially for that price. Jump on it.

That's a nice gun to shoot, with a hint of nostalgia too. Congrats. I'm happy you got it. Let us know how she does at the range!

p95 DC
I purchased one with 3 magazines and it is great. It was somewhat slippery after cleaning it and puttig oil on the frame but cured that with a Hogue rubber grip. It also softened the recoil and cured the slipping I was getting. The single action trigger makes for great recovery with a following shot. I will never get rid of mine. The double spring makes for wonderful recoil and loading of the first round. I think it is harder to load a PPK first round than my P95.

Making me miss my P95. I traded her in on my Glock as the G26 is a better gun for CC than a P95.
If you haven't already bought it...GO DO IT! You will not regret it! I bought my P95 TWICE! That's right...when I bought her new...traded her in on a hunting rifle. Missed her and went and re-bought her.

Congrats. That gun is a bit big for carry, but it is a great gun and you got a great price on it.

I have one of the old p85,s These are one of the best buys for the money out there. They are built like a tank and will run forever with very little attention. Cant go wrong with the p series.

Ruger P95
Thanks. I got it last night, haven't fired it yet.
I don't intend to CC, it'll be open carries on the farm... If it does get CC when I'm hunting it'll just go under my coat on a hip holster, don't intend to carry something that big in warmer months. Thanks again. |

Great gun. They are heavy which helps when shooting but on the farm it'd be great. You did great.

Good solid piece of iron and steady shooter. Would make a good car/truck gun. Yeah, I'd buy it at that price, hell I'd buy two...

I bought mine new for a real good price and figured I would shoot it until I shot the barrel out of it. I shot it a lot for a while, but haven't touched it for maybe a year now. Seems like I am working on wearing my Kimber 1911 out first.
For that price you just can't go wrong. I am a Ruger freak, so I am a little biased.

Ruger P95
Well I took it out to the farm Saturday and fired about 50 rounds... It shot flawlessly. I found out the history of the gun, it was purchased by a guy for his wife as a night stand gun... Doesn't appear to have seen much use.
By the serial number it reflects that it was manufactured in 96' if I'm interpreting it correctly. I ran some slow fire "accuracy" rounds through it and it seemed to be zeroed. Then I ran 2 full mags through it rapid fire to see if I could get it to hiccup. Nothing, worked flawlessly. I'm kind of glad I have it now, I used to carry my Kimber around on the farm and its really gotten beat up over the years. Kind of a shame. |

I've always wanted a P95. They are very reliable and robust handguns. Great reliability and quality for the price.
Congrats and enjoy it! |

Congrats! That's a steal....literally. I bought a new in box not too terribly long ago and it was $329 for the stainless. The one you have is over $100 cheaper and still practically new. They make great guns for your intended purpose. Very durable and reliable. Enjoy it.
