I'm just looking for some options so I don't have 15+ different kinds of powders on my bench.
Don't worry.
As you become a reloading addict, you'll slowly increase the number of different powders you have on hand.

In 1999, I had consolidated to two: One rifle powder. One pistol powder.
I loaded .380, 9mm, and .44 Mag with the pistol powder.
I loaded .220 Swift and .270 Winchester with the rifle powder.

As I slowly added more cartridges to my collection, I realized that "working" is not always the same as "working well". Now, I have 21 different powders to choose from, and still need to pick up a few magnum pistol / small rifle powders (to, once again, allow my .44 Mag to reach its full potential).

If you just want cheap ammo that works, a limited selection is fine.
When you start chasing perfection with smaller groups, cleaner loads, and other mystical concepts.... your powder selection will grow.

That's what I am afraid of FrankenMauser, that I am going to start chasing that perfect load. (I am a little compulsive)
