LC M193- how good is it?
I`ve noticed a few places are carrying LCM193 ammo, fairly cheap. Some say it is considered the best of all military 5.56. Do you agree? Just looking for your opinions.

If it is authentic American Lake City ammo, it's as good as you can get.
There is, unfortunately, a former East-block company selling the Wolf-style dangerous, stinky, unreliable, steel-cased goobage ammo under the Lake City name, with all appropriate M-series nomenclature on the package. Caveat Emptor.

I only buy IMI M193 from Wideners. Where are you seeing the LCM193? If its cheaper I'd go for it. I think Wideners sells 1000rds for about $35. I'm really looking for LCM855 rounds. They are pretty expensive $70 per 1000rds. Its still cheaper to reload those than paying $220-$300 per 1000rds of SS109.

FatElvis...G.I. ammo from any nation is never going to be exactly match grade. Economy prohibits the strict attention to detail and high QC standards necessary for competition-type accuracy. In my experience, milsurp rifle ammo is two-three inches @100 yds tops.
Reliability...superb. Consistency ...tops. Durability...the best reloading brass available in any caliber. Shelf life ... good till Y3K. Accuracy...same area code.

Thanks guys. I load all my target ammo, but I was wondering what would be the best ammo to stow (quantity)"For a rainy day". Looks like M193 is it! Natchez and Ammoman have it cheap.
