I'm thinking of having my HD shotgun tapped to accept choke tubes. I'll probably go with the patternmaster tube. Any advice on which one patterns best with buckshot? Also, is there any differnce between threads on the rem-choke, win-choke or Browning Invector systems? Any brand preferable over another for use with standard choke tubes ( imp.cyl., mod, &full) for general hunting purposes? TIA, rezman

I doubt any brand has a clear advantage over the others,Rez. The threads are not standard throughout the industry.

Buckshot, like slugs, require testing in the individual gun. Each is unique. For best results, I'd use Modified or IC, and consider a forcing cone job for best results.

The Remchokes may have the widest availability, but it's a small point.
