Background and Resources for 2A Discussions and Debate
I figured it might be beneficial to start a thread where resources for 2A discussion could be gathered. This can help us all in our own discussions here and with people in daily life to be armed with accurate information and knowledge about a subject of which we are fond.
Most of the information needed to discuss the issues surrounding 2A should be freely available on the internet, so please include a link to resources suggested when possible. I will start this with two sections, Background(political philosophy, commentary and legislative texts) and Statistics/Data. Hopefully suggestions will roll in and I will try to update the main post regularly. I've gotten ball rolling with a few entries relavent to the political philosophies and commentaries that were in vogue during the time of the founding fathers and surrounding time period. Background United States Constitution Rousseau The Social Contract: Principals of Political Right Discourse on Inequality Locke Two Treatises of Govenment Hobbes Leviathan de Tocqueville Democracy in America Multi-Authored The Federalist Papers Statistics/Data Last edited by sigcurious; December 17, 2012 at 02:44 PM. |

I would also include the United States Constitution.
