28.375cc/oz. Most folks and companies round it off to 30cc.

...And that's a *liquid* ounce, like a shot glass. Don't try to apply this conversion to something like gunpowder. What are you actually trying to convert?

TimRBs right. This is a liquid ounce. To make the volume consistent, use distilled water chilled to 4 degrees centigrade.
Seriously, what do you need to convert? I'd hate to be a smartass and get someone hurt. (as opposed to just being a harmless smartass) twb |

These numbers are not correct. 28.3495 is the conversion for grams weight to an ounce of weight. A fluid ounce is larger than an ounce of water at 4°C, because it is the volume of the weight of water at almost the boiling point, where water is less dense. The correct conversion is:
1 fluid ounce = 29.5735 ml or cc's.

You can type anything of the form: X unit type "in" unit type and Google will spit out the answer |

Google does NOT like the 1 ounce to milieter conversion.

Click on the link above, it likes it just fine. You have to be sure to specify fluid ounce of course though.

Ok, that's the problem, I wasn't specifying fluid ounces.
I was just saying ounces. No wonder it didn't like it.

For stuff like this, I highly recommend the freeware program called "convert.exe". It is a windows based program that I and many in the company use routinely. Please register your copy though.
