What handguns don't have an extractor?
I know the Beretta M21 Bobcat doesn't and I think the Minx and Jetfire don't either. Can anyone identify any other semi-automatic that doesn't have an ejector?

I believe that the HK P7 doesn't have one. Quite a mechanical marvel.

Hi Larry. The HK P-7 has one, but it will work without it (at least that's what they told us at the HK armourer school.)

Beretta Tomcat (but then, it's a related design to the Bobcat).

The Taurus PT-22 and PLY-22 don't, but they're supposedly based on the Beretta 21A to a large degree.
The Beretta 86 also doesn't have an extractor. Its absence is a common feature to many pure blowback pistols with tip-up barrels. One other thing... Quote:
The extractor is a claw-like part attached to the slide or bolt; it yanks the empty case out of the chamber. The ejector is a stationary part, usually mounted to the frame, that kicks the empty case out of the action as the slide or bolt cycles to the rear. If you're aware that they're different and you typed the wrong word, I don't mean to belittle you- I'm just checkin'. FWIW the FN Browning Model 1910 and 1922 actually lack a separate ejector; the striker's rearwards travel is stopped as the slide moves back, causing the firing pin to protrude from the bolt face and double as the ejector.

My Ruger Mark II "slabside" doesn't have an extractor.
It broke some time ago. So did the safety and the firing pin return spring. None of which seem to bother it in the least. The gun still feeds and shoots 100%. Since it's a range only gun and since I'm the only one that uses it, the broken safety isn't a concern. In a morbid sick kind of way, I'm really curious how many things can break on this gun before it quits working. |

I think the Iver Johnson TP-22 is extractorless, but it's been so long since I looked at mine from that aspect that I'm not 100% sure.

The LeFrancais tip up pistols didn't have extractors.
