Shotgun scope or red dot

I'm looking at putting a red dot or scope on my 870 for deer season this year. Any suggestions? or experiance with either...

I run the Simmons Pro Diamond 1.5x5x20mm on my Clark Gator AR and find it fast in tight with decent magnification. I replaced my holosight as my primary optic. For deer, the low powered scopes can be alomst as fast as a red dot and the extra magnification can be very welcome out to 150 yards.

I used a Simmons Pro-Diamond on my 870 one time. Got me an 8 point buck. However, for me I perfer iron sights in the woods. Took it off and now I'll sell it. Saddle included. You interested?

There is nothing like bringing the object right in your face.Go scope all the way.If money is tight bushnell banner for $80.00. 2x4.5 shotgun scope.

I finaly made the decision to go scope for my 1100. i got a Bushnell Trophy 1.5-4.5x. It nice and clear and love it!
