Magnum Caps

Gentlemen,
I am new to BP, but have been lurking on this forum for some time, as to learn what I could before asking silly questions. I just got a new Uberti 58.

My question: The Manufacturer recommends #11 caps, the store only had #11magnums, is this an issue?
Thanks for the great site

I got some of the #11 mag caps from Gander, they were on their clearance table for less than the regular caps and they work fine in both my Hawkins and Ruger old army, and actually do a better job with the B/P subs.

I use the #11Mags in all my BP stuff. If you compare the standard CCI #11s to the Mags, you notice just how much more compound the mags have - I've had standard CCIs that had almost nothing in the cap and I threw them away cause I considered them unreliable.

The only issue you might have with your 1858 is that the Mags tend to destroy themselves pretty good - so you need to develop the gunslinger's "flip" so that you toss off the fried cap as you cock the hammer for the next round.
