AJ came off as a raving idiot, and it's sad that most folks are just going to gobble what the media will spew out, making it appear that all law abiding gun owners are like him.

I hate people like him, I knew several people just like him, and quite frankly, I think the world would be better off without folks like him. Would save the rest of us a few brain cells from not having to hear them IMO.

Alex Jones seems like a plant by the anti-gun people, armed with facts that easily get thrown under the carpet because they are presented by a self promoting loud mouth that if he had a brain could have debated civilly. He does not represent me.

On the other hand, a little tired of a Brit having any say about anything in the US, and feel that CNN is the most anti-american forum around. They do not put on article on about defensive use of firearms.

Last word for Piers, the Revolutionary war began, when the Brit's tried to confiscate the colonialists firearms.

I have had a number of people rant and rave at me in gun shops and gun shows over the years in Alex Jonesese. Usually I am sitting there just like Morgan hoping the ranting man will go away.

Yeah, except Piers Morgan didn't want him to go away. I think everyone knows Piers Morgan can and will talk over any guest on his show if he wants to. Alex Jones didn't have to talk to be loud and talk over Piers Morgan, Piers Morgan wanted people to hear Alex Jones.

Yeah, that is why he invited him on his show.

Dan Rather did an interview with a sane very large gun shop and range owner as well as the mayor of Las Vegas. The fact that this seems to be a more important topic of conversation than that is curious.

Just came to post this….late to the party I see.

This won't change anything so, because of that, I am glad he did what he did; giving Piers a taste of his own medicine.

Oh common, the only people who took him seriously are WWE fans. He and PM had trouble keeping a straight face most of the time. The man is nothing more than an actor self promoter who happens to be bi-polar and needs to be on meds. Tell me PM and Jones wasn't a ripoff of this Gordon Solie interview with Bruiser Brody. LOL

Very dissapointing debate

To me, Jones seemed like a rambling idiot. And this is coming from a firearms enthusiast, so I can imagine how someone with a predisposition must have thought. He had numerous opportunities to make very valid points but chose to yell and point instead. I am sure Piers left that show laughing his butt off.

The guest seemed to know a good bit of info about how violence increased in the UK after their gun confiscation and some other good quotes.

"Spokesmen" who can not freeze their total ego while debating such a heated, but complex topic should never be on a radio or tv show.

In stark contrast, Mr. Larry Pratt kept very level-headed against Piers over a week ago.
After Piers insulted him at the end, Mr. Pratt compared Piers to his role model Neville Chamberlain, who believed in peace through weakness after his meeting mit dem Fuhrer in 1938: "Peace In Our Time" said Chamberlain's papers.

Piers Morgan and Guests Discuss Shooting Alex Jones

Read the death threats made against the NRA members by the tweeters.

Like I've said before, the antis base their belief that the average person is too violent and hot headed to own a firearm, on the person they know best.

Another funny thing is, that neither Piers's, or any of his guests on the recent program could fight their way out of a wet paper bag. If anyone in society needs weapons to protect themselves, its them.

If it weren't for other people with guns, protecting them, they wouldn't be where they are now. As far as the tweeters go, I've yet to find a leftist anti, that yelled and made threats of violence off the internets or television, because talk is all the vast majority of them can do.

Piers Morgan is irrelevant. CNN is thinking of moving him to the 10.00PM slot.

I would not be surprised is Alex Jones is deemed not fit to own firearms after that explosive performance.

I agree with those that think that either one of these crackpots is taken serious by anyone. I don't think many people consider these guys as respectable reporters.

Linked by nate45:
Piers Morgan and Guests Discuss Shooting Alex Jones

Sounds like Morgan and his guests may be liable under Title 18, U.S.C., Section 241—This statute makes it unlawful for two or more persons to conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person of any state, territory or district in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him/her by the Constitution or the laws of the United States, (or because of his/her having exercised the same)

Thanks for the link fishing cabin! I'v found AJ to be very accurate over the years.

PNAC,
I tied following the link, and It's already gone.

I guess someone higher up found out about it and pulled the plug.

So it is! It just confirmed everything Alex said was true. You can fault his delivery, but he knows of what he speaks! He says to always fact-check him, I do and most of the time it pans out.

Let's not wander into other things that Alex says. Off topic.

BTW, Glenn Beck says AJ is nuts.

Unfortunately, they were a little sloppy:

Quote:
The Number 1 killer in history is “governments” who killed 292 millions people in the 21st Century: True
That said, Jones had his facts straight, but the public doesn't care. All they know is that the "gun people" are a bunch of frothing nut jobs.

I don't like Jones. Never have. He's a rabble rouser and panic monger of the worst order
Then you would not have cared much for Sam Adams, either .....

Such people are necessary, if only as a counter to the rabble rousers on the other side ......

Samuel Adams was a consensus builder who helped gather support for the Declaration of Independence. If the closest thing we've got to men like Adams today is a guy who makes millions ranting about 9/11 conspiracies, things are truly dire.

I think Alex could've embarrassed Piers by having him state or stating the known number of AR's in civilian hands.
And that under Piers' logic, the number of AR's in circulation times the number of people killed by those weapons in mass murders should equal much more than 20 people killed.
As many AR's that are in citizens' hands, and as "dangerous" as they say they are, there should be hundreds of thousands killed everyday.
Most people claim to be "good" at math and maybe this would've put this in a better perspective.
Of course this always come up after the fact.
