Advanced Technology accessories

HAs anybody else tried these? In my experience, I've had two Winchester 1300 magazine extensions, a 7 round and an 8 round. Neither would fit onto my gun, a Winchester 1300 with a 22", cylinder, rifle-sighted barrel, in 12ga that I purchased from Wal-Mart for $199.

Do I just have a funky gun (my Pachmayr pistol grip screw had to be rethreaded to fit as well) or did I just get a bad lot? I know that sometimes gun companies will make "bargain" versions of their guns for Wally World, but I can't see them retooling their machines to change the threading of the screws and the magazine cap for the purpose....
