attachment rail strength

heres the question, just what is the maximum torque rating if you will of the attachment rail of a modern made semi auto pistol?

im trying to figure out if its merely a function of material versus dimensions, or if it can be simulated correctly with a modulus of elasticity formula for said material?

Some rails are polymer some metal. The polymer ones are offten under the metal insert in the frame.

Yeah so no idea. No idea if a standard even in the land of mil spec has ever been published

not for kicks and giggles, restarting a project of mine.

so since there is no real standard, just what can be expected of one to hold up to without actually destroying a real gun ?
