Question for FN FAL guys, wood grips.

Hello everyone, my son and I are getting ready to change some things on our fn fal. We are mainly ar guys and have a few questions. We are looking to go to all wood furniture and like what I think is called Israeli style fore grip that is a combination of wood and metal. What I’ve found online sounds like it’s for a heavy barrel rifle. My question is, how do I know if I have a heavy barrel and will it fit if I don’t?

Look at the muzzle. HBs used a coupler for a bipod mount/flashider. LBs did not.
