Picture posting help.
I have a Mac OSX computer, and every time I try to post a picture off of my game cameras, the forum tells me my file is to big. Is there any way of shrinking the file size, so I can post the pictures?
I'm sorry about this not being fire arm related, but I couldn't find out anywhere else to get help. |

Sign up for a free account at www.photobucket.com.
It will take any size photo and shrink it to fit. From there, you can further size it down if need be, after it's already uploaded.

Both are excellent suggestions. irfanview ( www.irfanview.com ) should be used if you want to attach a photo and photobucket is one of many photo hosting sites if you want to link to a photo.

"Low-tech" method
Another method you can use is to paste the photo into an MS Word blank document, open the "pictures" toolbar and then "compress" the picture. Shrinks the picture to about 1/10 of its original size. You have to then save the picture as a Word document but it works if you can't or don't want download programs. E.g, at work.
