Loop lever for 1892

Anyone know where I can pick up a loop lever for my Armi-Sport 1892? I want to give it that "Chuck Connors" look.

Since Rossi's been making/selling Big Loop carbine for the last two years, I would think a lever could be had from their parts dept, through Taurus.

IIRC, a new lever was about $70.00 - but I swapped mine away for the bubble, as I wanted a standard loop.

Don't think a lever for a Rossi is going to fit an Armi Sport(chiappa)

I'll bet your local metalworking and welding shop would be happy to modify your existing lever to match Chuck's handle. One of my did that with his Henry .22. Just bring in a picture and the lever and it should be pretty short work.

I have called Chiapa a few times, and they never answer the phone nor return my calls. Heck of a way to operate a business.

My Cimarron "ElDorado" is made by Chiappa and it came stock with the "hoop" lever.

Maybe you can try contacting someone at Cimarron.

I got ahold of a guy in Indiana who makes them. He wants $135 for one, case-color and like the one JW used in "Stagecoach".

Nice El Dorado, caliber? Shooting the rifle with the big hoop, gloves?, any special methods to consider, ie DON'T do the Chuck Conner's trick with loaded gun etc. Thanks.

I picked up a Taurus/Rossi 92 in 357 and I enjoy it alot. I guess if you had really big winter gloves on it would make getting your fingers in the lever easier and the CAS folk will tell you it's slower actually in working the action if it's speed you're going for which alot of them seem to be now days.
I just like it because of the nostalgia aspect of the Rifleman and John Wayne and actually I don't spin it if it's loaded, but it dosen't come into firing battery if you spin it until way after it's past anywhere you're in danger of shooting yourself.
Now I don't know this for a fact cause I've never done it loaded or photographed it,I'm just going on research and writing from more than one of the gun writers in the major shooting publications and they also say never try it with a loaded rifle but that is their conclusion from testing and doing it infront of stop motion photography. I'm still not going to do it with the rifle loaded and don't see a reason I'd ever need to.
I would think since Chiappa makes the part already that it could be bought through them or one of their importers.
