Prairie Dog Question
A buddy wants me to put together a hunt in Wyoming for prairie dogs and deer. I hunted both, but never together.
Does any know if prairie dogs are active in October? I've shot them in September, but never later in the year. John |

If there's a couple days of sun, they'll be out. Not as active as in mid summer, but you'll see 'em.

+1 on sun, I have shot them at the end of November (Thanksgiving) also in SE Montana when there's not too much snow and good sunlight. I guide deer hunters occasionaly and always tell them to bring a varmint gun for if we get done a couple days early.

I hunted them once in early October on an antelope hunt. Saw quite a few of them. Not sure how the weather effects them, but it was nice and sunny and around 80 every day.
