Switching lubes, do I need to do anything extra?
Okay dumb question but if I wanted to switch lubricants for my firearms do I have to completely de-grease the entire guns or can I just begin to use the new lubricant next time I go to clean them. I have quite a few and completely degreasing all of them would be VERY time consuming so I figured I'd ask before I make assumptions.
For reference I got a GREAT deal on a bunch of G96 gun treatment so that is what I'm switching to. Not because it's the "best". |

It depends on if it is water based or petroleum based. It should say on the new lube. I have switched exclusively to Froglube and it says to strip all old lube for it to work properly
