The 'hero' at Tacoma Mall stood up from behind cover and gave verbal commands to the shooter. The 'hero' was armed with a CCW and did not have it drawn. Upon issuing commands, he was summarily shot multiple times resulting in partial paralysis.

Helluva lesson.

That is a pretty dumb axiom

If you are in grabbing distance of the shooter then the best thing to do would be to rush and disarm him as brutally as possibly.
