Who makes a CCW holster for an N-frame

I posted this in a CCW site and it was greeted with profound silence. So I'll try the revolver people. I carry a 1911 any time I leave the house, but I thought it would be fun to switch up. So now I'm looking for a CCW holster for my 4" m-29. Any ideas?

Custom holster makers like Mitch Rosen, Milt Sparks, Kramer, El Paso Saddlery, and others can make a holster to fit just about any gun you like. For a M29, I'd probably look at the El Paso Saddlery Double Agent as the suede lining will help to protect the finish of your revolver and the Askin-Style design will help to tuck the butt in close to your body thus making the large gun easier to conceal.

+1 on Simply Rugged, also check Lobo gunleather, he makes some very nicd concealment holsters for bjg revolvers. I carry my N frame snubbies in a Mernickle holster.

The M29 is a heavy gun when loaded even with the 4" barrel. I sometimes carry a 4" M586 which is heavy but not as heavy as an M29 and I have two or three belt holsters for it, but they are high ride and the cylinder rides above the belt line putting most of weight above the belt causing the butt of the gun to pull away from my body. I haven't been able to find a belt thick or "unbending" enough to counter it, so I use a shoulder holster as it is most comfortable.

Actually suede lining is more hard on a blued finish,,,
Than a smooth leather lining such as calf or pig.

The nappy surface of suede traps grit and dirt particles,,,
That dirty leather acts like sandpaper and abrades the guns finish.

You might check out an IWB holster from Kramer. I've found that sometimes they have items in stock when the other custom makers usually take longer.

I regularly carry a S&W Mountain Gun in either a Desantis Thumb Break Scabbard or a Don Hume 721. They both work well for me.

I carry my model 629 3" Trail Boss in this Kramer holster. Kramer also makes some IWB ...if you want that instead / but I find an N frame pretty wide ...so I like the scabbard with the Forward FBI tilt ...in Horsehide.

Rob at Simply Rugged is the MAN! He made a tuck-able IWB for my SP101 that just melts with a white tshirt and tight jeans. It was not listed on his site but after contacting him via Email he knew exactly what I wanted. Also it arrived sooner than expected.

I am very pleased with each holster. Next month, I'm going to switch from the S&W 28 to a S&W 629, and am thinking about getting another Simply Rugged pancake for it with the IWB loops. I like the versatility of that holster, so if I want to wear OWB I can do so.

At the risk of "piling on", here's another vote for Simply Rugged Holsters. I carry a shortened Redhawk (3-3/4") for my rough country excursions into the wild. I used to use a tanker type holster from El Paso Saddlery for ease of on-body carry when horseback and when fishing but I switched a couple years ago to the belt carry pancake style and have never looked back. Rob also has a "Chesty Puller" conversion for this holster should you prefer chest carry and he can adapt this holster to almost any style of carry you prefer.

The one I bought was actually for a K-frame, but was also a snug fit on the L-frame. After leaving the L-frame in the holster for a while, it was a good fit on the N-frame as well. I can wear this one any time of the year (as long as I can handle the weight.)

I've tried the Hoffners with Mod. 325, 625 and 627 revolvers. It did not work especially well for me. If you want one to try, make me a reasonable offer.
