"silver" Chinese 213 Tokarev - finish? - pics are up
cross-posted for convenience : I've dug through the web a fairly good bit but the "silver" 9mm Chinese Toks are only described as a "stainless finish" (that's a new term for me) or a "brushed chrome" (no way). Anyone know the actual finish used? Is it a "surface finish"? Haven't tried a magnet but seriously doubt they would've actually built these out of Stainless Steel. thanks for any input, t |

Looks like brushed chrome to me.
Why would you think it's not? |

Hmm... the frame looks very much like mine. I've got the NP-17 Norc in the two-tone finish:
I changed the grip shown in that picture to a non-wrap around wood one shaped like yours, and the hammer doesn't bite my hand anymore. It looks much better too, but I don't have a pic handy at the moment. Oops, forgot to mention. This gun was advertised when I bought it new as having a "chromed frame". So there ya go. Yup, I would have to agree and say that looks like a brushed chrome finish.
