Taurus, Curve, Wave, Convertavle, No View View
Taurus announcing innovation at 2015 Shot Show
Curve Wave Convertible Return of View with no View. http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/take...rus-shot-show/ Taurus canceled the View from its product line rather quietly toward the end of 2014 (read my article here.) However, on display in the company’s booth was a new version of the View…or, well…non-View. The gun appears to be the same revolver but with an aluminum side plate instead of a clear Lexan one. A Taurus rep said that was the new version of the View the company was selling. Yet, the gun is not listed on the company’s website or in its 2015 catalog. The rep said the original View was discontinued because the clear plate showed a lot of dirt inside the gun after firing only one or two rounds. No MSRP, shipping date or additional information is available right now. Last edited by peggysue; January 23, 2015 at 05:37 AM. |

A whole lot of "Meh", there. Yet another 1911?
The only things I hear about that interest me are the XD Mod 2 in .45, and if Remington gets the R51 right (I'll give that one a couple years to shake out, thank you very much). And the new Kt sub-2k. (springfield XD mags? Oh, yes!)

LOL..."The View". Was that so the owner could watch the action go out of time?
"Hey look, I can see the metal shavings from the hand and bolt accumulating in the action, without having to remove the sideplate!". |

Don't get peggysue started. He is very sensitive. Especially about his defective, oh, I mean inclusion (bubble) included View!
Also don't mention the "wings" that the writer of the article believes will most likely fall off Taurus's winged pistol

"Taurus, the parent company of Smith & Wesson" that is how a Calif. dealer advertised Taurus revolvers he sold at a flea market, usually targeting migrant workers and cheapskates. I would cringe at reading his newspaper ad's---I think the Feds finally closed his operation. Now if he had a "view" or "Curve" to sell at that time I'll bet the advertising would have been most creative. My LGS still will not stock a Taurus revolver and will sell one only if prepaid and knowledge he will not be the go-between when it breaks. I do not think today's quality control is that bad but I have found other outlets for my cash. Goofy designs are not the answer if the general product has gained a poor reputation.

I'm not a "Dude" ? but He was licensed for both locations as that readily was looked into. The flea market ran every day and I believe it was this operation that got him in Dutch with the Feds. Funny thing his prices were not really good or bad but he sold a ton of less expensive firearms (probably kept the .25 auto ammo lines in business).
