Ruger SR762 Reloading
I just picked up the new Ruger SR762 and some reloading dies to start loading for it. The question i have is in my Hornady manual there is a 308 winchester section and a 308 winchester service rifle section. Is the service rifle section supposed to be for 7.62 nato specs? Im not sure which one i should follow or can i use both. Right now the only brass is Winchester 7.62x51 which i don't think should matter seeing i should be able to shoot both 308 and 7.62 out of it

I believe both are the same but I'd follow the 7.62 NATO service rounds data unless the rifle is specifically stamped .308 Winchester. How do you like it so far? Nice rifle!

Nice! Since it's stamped .308 I think I'd work up a load based on start loads published by the powder manufacturer's load data for .308 Winchester. That rifle was a long time coming, I hope to buy one this coming spring.

so far all i shot through it was 40 rounds of the winchester white box 7.62 nato and 6 reloads with 178G amaxs. The reason i ask cause the 308 service loads are hotter loads than the 308 loads so wasn't sure if both were fine to use or not

This is Ruger you're talking about. With their reputation for making tanks, I'd be totally shocked if they weren't designed for both.
