Any one thread a Smith model 22a pistol or know where to get a threaded barrel for one? My search has turned up nothing.

Hi Desert Dogs can do it.

So can Tornado Technologies

Since the barrel doesn't have any parts extended, they'll back cut your barrel and add a thread adaptor. You can also request a mated thread protector. I believe Hi Desert Dogs includes one in their price. Tornado Technologies will charge you extra for it.
