Too bad,Paul, that we're a thousand miles apart. The next video could be an 870 vs M4 teardown. I'm fairtomiddlin' at breaking down an 870.
As for reliability, it's a close call. The 870's a tough act to follow.... |

I own both a Remington 870 and a M4 Benelli.
In every respect, the Benelli M4 is, by far, my favorite: Handling Functioning Accuracy Tear down/cleaning/reassemble |

I use an older Ithaca Model 37 DeerSlayer.
Bottom load. Bottom eject. Natural carry position is hand under Bottom load/eject port- it stays clean. Works for me !!!

Impressive mag dump. It would be neat to see the M4 run a couple of practical shotgun drills at speed.
Set up 5 mini poppers at 15 yds 1 yd apart. If you can drop all 5 in 2.5 seconds or less you will be word class fast. Another good test of practical shotgun skills is two poppers at 15 yds about 15 feet apart. Load two shells, one in mag and one in tube. Shoot one popper, load 8 shoot the other. 4-5 seconds is FAST. Clays can be sustituted for steel. |

Gentle reminder:
The purpose/point of the video is to demonstrate how quickly the Benelli M4 semi-automatic shotgun will cycle. The heart of the M4 is the Benelli ARGO system. I am making NO claims for/about the guy shooting the shotgun, except that he has a very itchy trigger finger with apparently one one good way to scratch it. Results? "Pretty darn fast." It depends on how long the magazine tube you have on it is.
If you have a full length magazine tube, as does the one in the video, you can put 7 2.75 shells in the magazine, one in the chamber, and "float" or "ghost load" or "carrier load" one shell on the carrier. Total capacity = 9. 7+1+1 |

I am brand new to this forum, however I am not new to forums. I was browsing/looking at videos and I was very impressed with this video. I am not impressed with the responses on here. Maybe there is some history is Amsdorf that I don't get, but I see no reason to criticized a video that was meant to show one thing - Fast firing of a 12 gauge.
I was told about this site from a friend. He said you will find great camaraderie on this forum. If all threads are like this one, I don't see the point in wading through trolling BS to get to a bit of info that I could find somewhere else. |

SX3 is faster. 12 in 1.44 = .12 per 8 in 1 = .125 per... but whos counting? the SX3 is out of the box... the M4 is modified. $800 vs M4 +mods.
In the end... doesn't matter, neither are hitting. |

The SX3 he is firing is a customized platform with custom trigger work, the M4 in the video has the stock trigger group, no mods to the group.
The eight shots were all placed on a LEO torso from 15 yards out. |

Weird. I have that model SX3 and the marketing materials quote the speed. I guess Winny lies.
I think Benelli has a lawsuit. http://www.winchesterguns.com/librar...ail.asp?id=406 I think the M4 is being bump fired but we can count that if you like. Last edited by MISteve; October 1, 2012 at 01:44 PM. |

Amazing footage of world record holding Xtreme Sport Shooter, Patrick Flanigan, shooting a Winchester Super X3 shotgun. This shotgun fires a dozen Winchester AA 12 gauge shells in an astonishing 1.442 seconds, timed from first to last shot. The SX3 used by Flanigan was not specially prepared in any way other than having an extended magazine holding 11 shells, nor was the filming sped up. Do you think Flanigan’s shoulder was a little sore after that day of shooting?
Winchester sx3....fastest..not modified either..sorry dude..you lose....

Very cool. I ghost-loaded my 930 SPX once and did that to make sure it would cycle all nine, and to see if I could keep it on paper with all nine. It did and so did I. Don't know if it was that fast, but I thought it smokin and so did everyone around me.
Certainly quicker by far than an AA-12.
