what do you carry Glock or sig sauer?

I know it's an old age ? however there may be new fresh opinions and and reasons to carry one or the other.
Please reply and let us know what you prefer glock or sig sauer and why.

I know there are many many more choices but for now lets just focus on glocks and sigs.

Neither, HK P30LEM or M&P9c. Out of the two, the Glock, but you'll have to decide which one you like. Either one is capable for carrying.

If any of my Glock were as expensive as a SIG, I'd still buy the Glock. IMHO, Glock just lends itself so perfectly to concealed carry. Specifically IWB carry.

Sig is clearly the better choice between the two, but Poll should have included "other" which would probably be the most popular option.

I have Sigs and Glocks. When I carry, it is a Glock 30.

Neither.

Walther P99AS (combines the light weight of a Glock with the better ergonomics and trigger of a Sig, and ends up better than both, IMHO).

Or a Kahr CM9 when I want something smaller (which is usually the case).

No "both" option? I carry either my P220 or G17 or P226 or G21...

Just got a Glock 30sf and got rid of a gen 4 19.

I carry both.

I have Sigs, no Glocks.

Nothing against Glock- they're great guns, I just prefer Sigs.

I own both and carry both at different times. I voted SIG since I carry it the most, but can’t really go wrong with either one.

I prefer glock for the striker action and consistent trigger. However I did just come across two Sig P220s made in W. Germany for $500 each so I snatched them up. The US-built sigs have had issues in the last few years so if you buy a Sig make sure it's a german built one.

It would really come down to which trigger you prefer, DA/SA or striker.

I carry my Glock 21 now but my Sig is my favorite. I carry the Glock because I trust them both but I don't feel as bad about getting scratches on it.

A SIG Model 220 Carry is one of my regular carry pistols. Fairly slim with its single-stack magazine, relatively light when compared to the weights of other full-size pistols, very reliable and plenty accurate; the pistol can be carried comfortably and well-concealed in a proper iwb holster. The "disadvantage" of reduced capacity (nine rounds as compared with many more in typical 9mm pistols) is, imo, at least somewhat off-set by the .45 ACP's bigger and heavier bullet (and, yes, before we go down this road again, I'm well aware that placement trumps capacity and/or caliber size when it comes to a shoot-out).

Agreed..and for civilian CCW it's not likely to happen. Usually the distance is close and the suspect(s) flee after the first round is fired. Regardless of caliber. However, .45 is a good insurance. As is 9mm with it's more bullets.

I prefer Glock for carry. I know Sigs are nice guns- but I have just never taken up with them. For carry I use Glock 27, Khar MK9, and on occasion even a HK USP .40. I LOVE the simplicity of Glocks though. I LOVE the fact that my Glock has never FTL, FTF, or FTE ever. That's at a tie with my HK. My Beretta 92fs only had one FTE and along with the Khar MK9 could be user error. My Kimber and Rock Island Armory - one had a FTL seemingly fixed by a feed ramp polish and one had an extractor tune to iron it out.

Sig every time, not even close... No disrespect to my friends who like Glock... Sig is a heirloom, with reliability, looks and class, Glock is a plain jane with reliability and uh reliability and uh not much more..

I actually carry neither one. I'm issued a Sig P220ST by my department, but it has proven to be unreliable. I don't have any Glocks, but I've shot them, and found them to be much more dependable than Sig. So, between the two choices: I'd pick the Glock.

Sig kaboom is not a common range term, Glock kaboom is a common range term... Also given any individual pistol may have problems, all companies produce duds here and there. Glock kaboom may be a unfair term but the saying must exist for a reason.

My P220 Carry has never failed to fire, I oil it monthly nothing more.. Both brands carry a reputation for reliability but only Glock has a reputation for all the other negative things, both work.
