HoGuns - on Culebra. I've bought a couple guns from Wayne. He's a good guy.

Nagels on San Pedro is a good place to check. Full service and friendly.
You might find a better price elsewhere, but overall I've been pleased with them. |

One of my sons-in-law (I have three) swears by:
Dury's Gun Shop Inc (210) 533-5431 2510 E Southcross Blvd San Antonio, TX My son-in-law is a nitpicker and I trust his word. I’ve been there once and the folks seemed nice; but I’ve had no dealings with them. I agree Nagel’s is good, but sometimes a bit pricey. For a complete list of San Antonio gunshops you might try: http://www.thecityofsanantonio.com/gun/ Me? I’ve found the best deals at the SAXET gun show. There are some small, LOCAL folks there who have been good to me, but beware of out-of-towners and used goods. The few dealings I’ve had with companies advertised in S.W.A.T. Magazine have been super! Sometimes a bit slow (due to military workload), but exactly as advertised. |

Dury's is a good shop. I've bought a few things from them and had them do a trigger job on a 10/22 that was great.
Nagel's is too expensive unless you enjoy paying straight retail. Don't forget that Walmart and Academy sell guns too. A Remington 1100 there is just as good as the one from a more expensive shop. A Place to Shoot can also have decent prices and I like their range. Heck, even Oshmans has a sale that makes them worth shopping at every now and then. Bryan |
