Decent 8 pointer this morning...

Walking back to my truck after a couple of hours of freezing my butt off this morning. Hadn't seen a darn thing cept some beavers. Got about 50 yards away from my truck and heard something in the woods. Looked over and there's this nice 8 pointer standing there looking the other way.

Hunting's full of surprises ain't it?

Sorry for the crappy picture, my digital camera isn't the best.

Thats great. What a great way to end the hunt. Those deer teach me something new every year. If you had quit early you probably wouldn't have seen him.

Nice buck!

I was out this morning as well. I saw two squirrels goofing around. Sadly, though, not a buck in sight.

A thousand gun control laws would not have prevented this massacre. What am I doing?"

Nice Buck..... Looks like Georgia woods to me. I used to hunt in Georgia years ago and that terrain looks similar.
