Carry Interarms 720 2+ inch barrel
got any good loads for those 300gr. bullets i'm seeing fellows shootin in their magnums

FlyinLow. I'm going to be as honest with you as I can. I don't think a 300 gr. bullet can be practically used in a .44 Special. Especially one with as short a barrel as you say your gun has.
I'm not trying to be a wiseguy about it. The capacity of the .44 Spl. case just does not allow a sufficient quantity of a slow enough burning powder, to give you the velocity such a heavy bullet would require to be effective. And even if you did, the unburned powder that came out of the barrel would give such a blinding ball of fire, that it would probably rival the sun's brightness at high noon.
A second drawback, is the recoil would be horrendous, to say the least.
I'm sorry. Some reloading projects just are not feasable. JMHO.
