Henry scope mount ?
Has anyone bought the scope mount from Henry for the Golden Boy 22 rifle ?
Since it mounts on the barrel and extends back over the receiver, I am curious how stable it is as far as strength and the scope holding zero. |

I can't speak for the Henry mount, but I used a cantilever mount on my Sportsman's Team Challenge rifle mounted on a Volquartzen barrel and it never lost zero or gave me a minutes trouble. My team and I shot numerous perfect scores in the rifle event and many in the combo event using these mounts. My gun would shoot just over 1moa at 100yds with five shot groups. For a rifle without a thread barrel, this is the only way to go.

i had one installed by henry on a golden boy 17, everything seemed jake to me about it, except i needed to shim the back ring to get enough height on the scope to make it adjust.

with my 66 year old eyes and progressive lenses I find it hard to use the iron sights. Just don't seem to be able to get sights and target both in focus. That is why I was thinking about a scope.
where did you put the o rings ? |

I purchased the Henry mount for my Golden Boy .22, and it holds just fine. I added a Blackhawk cheek pad to have a tight cheek weld because the scope sits an inch or so higher than the iron sights. I'm happy with my setup.

The scope works great on the Henry Golden Boy -- here is my son's Golden Boy with scope -- a very sturdy and functional arrangement.
